The Waters family during Maryann's recovery

When Maryann went in for removal of a stubborn kidney stone on March 21st, she and her family had no idea the complications that would come. She's spent several days in the ICU already, battling sepsis and DIC as a result of one of the stones being infected. It's been a scary journey for the whole Waters family, with Sal staying in a hotel near her hospital in Philly ever since, Melissa and Shannon and other family members coming in to try to make sense of it all. Maryann's condition seems to be improving but it's still a long road.

Let's do what we can to make this situation a little less terrible by alleviating the financial toll. Even before any medical bills, there's the cost of hotel living, food away from home, and any services they'll need to make things easier once she is home.
