THE DISTANCE IS NOT THE POINT. THE COMMUNITIES ARE.

On April 1, 2027, Children Such as These will begin “The Watch Never Ends”—a 30-day national child-safety awareness journey from Northern California toward Terre Haute, Indiana.

This is not an endurance stunt, and it is not a promise that one person will walk every mile. Travel may include movement by foot, bicycle, motorcycle, and support vehicle where terrain, weather, law, or safety require it. Those are logistics. The mission is hope, trust, accountability, and communities choosing to stand together for children.

WHY WE ARE GOING

Children are facing risks that many caring adults do not yet know how to recognize: grooming, online enticement, exploitation, social-media and gaming dangers, trafficking, abuse, runaway vulnerability, and the long silence surrounding missing children.

Most parents, caregivers, teachers, officers, veterans, faith leaders, and neighbors want to help. They need concise, trustworthy information and a clear next step.

Children Such as These is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit created to provide that education. During the first planned field phase of the Watch, we intend to carry practical child-safety resources into community conversations, create space for people to listen and learn, and help local leaders connect families with responsible local and national resources.

WHAT IT MEANS TO STAND THE WATCH

WATCH is more than the name of a journey:

• Watchfulness — Notice changes, know warning signs, and pay attention without panic or judgment.
• Accountability — Follow through, use responsible information, and keep this mission worthy of public trust.
• Trust — Create the safety children need to speak and the courage adults need to listen.
• Community — Connect families, professionals, agencies, faith communities, and local leaders so no one stands alone.
• Hope — Show that informed, compassionate action can change what happens next for a child.

WHAT THE FIRST PHASE IS BUILT TO DO

Across a working plan of 16 intended Watch Posts, we will seek to:

• Share concise, source-grounded child-safety education.
• Hold welcoming community conversations centered on listening and responsible action.
• Connect people with appropriate agencies, services, and trustworthy resources.
• Invite civic groups, first responders, veterans, businesses, churches, schools, and families to keep the Watch going after the journey moves on.
• Publish campaign updates and a post-phase summary of how support was used.

HOW THE $50,000 GOAL WILL HELP

This is a preliminary, good-faith gross budget for the first planned field phase:

• $16,500 — Mission travel and field logistics: support transportation, fuel, positioning, parking, tolls, and lodging.
• $11,500 — Meals, hydration, field safety, and insurance: team sustenance, first aid, visibility gear, safeguarding, and mission-related coverage.
• $10,100 — Community education and outreach: planned gatherings, permits, accessibility, printed resources, and host materials.
• $5,800 — Communications and financial stewardship: updates, documentation, data tools, bookkeeping, reporting, and estimated processing.
• $6,100 — Safety and route contingency: documented weather, route, scheduling, lodging, vehicle, and price changes.

Actual costs may change as the route, hosts, permits, in-kind support, and vendors are confirmed. Children Such as These will retain organizational control of campaign funds, document mission expenses, and explain material changes. Funds will not be used for personal expenses unrelated to CSAT’s charitable work.

If support approaches or exceeds this first milestone, CSAT will publish any proposed stretch goal, the additional outcomes it would support, and the related budget before changing the displayed target.

A NEW, OFFICIAL CSAT CAMPAIGN

This is the new official campaign benefiting Children Such as These. It is separate from the earlier personal GoFundMe. Earlier gifts are not included in this $50,000 goal and will not be presented as new or retroactively tax-deductible. CSAT is preparing a plain-language reconciliation of that earlier campaign for its records and public accountability.

EVERYBODY CAN DO SOMETHING

You can give. You can share this campaign with three people. You can introduce CSAT to a business, civic group, church, school, agency, foundation, or media contact. You can attend or help host a Watch Post. You can open a door in the next community.

Route details, timing, hosts, permits, and public participation remain subject to confirmation and safety review. CSAT provides education and awareness; it does not conduct investigations, accept sightings, or replace emergency or child-protection agencies.

Every child must be seen. Every child must be heard. Every child must be protected.
