WE NEED YOUR HELP TO HELP THE WARDALE FAMILY…
Well – when life sucks, it sucks big time…
But – with support from family, friends and colleagues things can be made a little easier!!
I know that many of us face challenges every day, for some of us this is business as usual – but when life throws you a life changing lemon, sometimes you need just a little bit more support.
That’s where the need for this page to be set up comes in…
Some of you may have heard that our wonderful friend and colleague Mandy Wardale is currently facing a life changing challenge after her husband Ian was involved in a terrible accident whilst doing what he loves – riding his bike.
Ian is currently in the Canberra Hospital, and Mandy is making the daily commute from Goulburn to be with him. He has multiple injuries requiring surgery and months of rehabilitation ahead of him.
She is travelling back to Goulburn daily to take care of the family and household. Such an exhausting turn of events for this much loved family.
While Mandy is strong and dedicated to Ian’s recovery, she is also in need of a helping hand right now. Even if she doesn’t think so.
Mandy has helped so many over the years, lending a helping hand when she can and has been a staff member of the NSWP for 25 years. She celebrates the good with us, supports during the not so good, and has an amazing family around her.
She has also been awarded a Local Hero Award where she lives - for her contribution to community – now she needs her community to help her :-)
And while we are talking about Ian - he was also a valued NSW Police Employee and participated in many charitable events, including riding 300kms for NSW Police legacy in 2020 with the Hume PD.
If you would like to help the Wardale Family through this challenging time, we have set up a GoFundMe page.
The money raised will help Mandy with every day things like petrol, groceries, parking at the hospital and then caring for Ian when he returns home.
At this early stage – they are not even sure what Ian’s caring needs will be – so having peace of mind that she doesn’t have to worry financially for a little bit would help immensely.
No amount is too small – no amount is too big – every amount will help this wonderful family.
Please share this page – lets show Mandy that she has a support crew around her and Ian in the months and years ahead.
Thank you for your contribution.
