Late last night or early this morning my boyfriend's dad who works at the local Mill and his wife who is a hospice nurse lost their house in the fire that went through Gates Oregon. After initially being evacuated early Tuesday morning and gathering as many essentials/important paperwork as they could quickly his father was allowed back up the hwy to try and save his home that evening. He arrived to the house and unfortunately their water had been turned off. He stayed as long as he could and then had to leave due to the fire getting worse. Their home was also looted and then their house, cars, tractor, all of his hunting mounts and personal belongings went up in flames. As you can see in the picture the one thing that survived was the flag pole where the American flag flew daily with an Eagle on top of it. We are hoping to help raise some money to help them out during this next phase in life, while they process this loss and find a new place to call home. Anything donated is much appreciated and if money is not something that can be donated then please do send up a prayer for them and others affected by mother nature.
