My name is Mayar Wael, I’m 19 years old, from steadfast Gaza.
I was a university student dreaming of a bright future, but the war destroyed everything…
It shattered my dreams and the future I had been planning with so much hope.
During one of the bombings, our home was hit, and I suffered third-degree burns on my hand and chest.
These burns left me with severely scarred skin and limited movement in my hand joint. The pain is constant.
Instead of living my youth like others, I now live between medications, creams, and hospital visits.
My life has become a daily struggle…
