Hello dear friends & family.

As many of you may know, we left Oklahoma in March of 2020, after having lived there our entire lives, serving in ministry for nearly 27 of those years. We believed at the time that we had a clear vision for life & ministry in North Carolina, where we have 3 other children, as well as 7 more of our 10 grandchildren; not to mention, many friends! After being there for a little less than a year, we received a call from longtime, dear friends of ours who were asking us to move and become the next pastors of a church they were retiring from. I wish I could tell you we had a clear cut Word from God on what to do, but at the time, I honestly felt like He left the decision up to us. Due to the emergency nature & timing of the call we received, we prayed, talked and decided to relocate yet again to Indiana. Here is where I need to clarify that I do not regret that decision, because regret is not something I will allow to dominate my life or mindset. I do however, wish with everything in me, that we could've stewarded that season of our lives better than we did. Again, we are not living from a place of regret, but rather, a place of redemption. The decision did not work out for our family or the church we went to serve, and we found ourselves tail spinning for a season and trying to recover.

We have spent 2 years now living in northern Kansas, close to some dear friends of ours, Mike & Kassie Gooder, attending New Covenant Church. They received us with open arms and open hearts and loved us back to a healthy place in our lives. Stacey and I have spent a great deal of time praying about the next chapter and season of our lives, what it looked like, and where it would be.

We feel very strongly that we are to hit the reset button and return to North Carolina, where we initially set out for when we left Oklahoma. Keep in mind, I am a guy who lived 50 years in one state, and now have lived in 4 states in a little over 3 years. This has been a whirlwind of a transition for our ministry and family, especially the young grandchildren! We have many friends across the country and I have been very transparent, open and honest with those whom I have the utmost trust and respect for, so it is not lightly that we have reached this decision.

In creating this fundraiser page, we are simply asking that those who believe in us and the call on our lives, would prayerfully consider if the Lord might have you partner with us on the next leg of our journey. You can either do that by giving a one time gift to help with the costs of the upcoming move, or if you prefer, you can discuss becoming a monthly partner with us for a season. If you have friends and family who you feel may be compelled to partner with us in this endeavor of relocating the family and the ministry, please feel free to share it with them.

Stacey and I are renting a U-Haul truck & trailer (to pull my 2009 F150) and moving from Kansas in a couple of weeks. We will load on June 14th and head out early on the 15th. We will be living in our son, Kaleb's RV for a couple of months while we secure jobs/work, but primarily while we find a house for our family. We both already have a bead on some good jobs. We will return in late July or early August and get Mike, Taylor, Ryker, Ronin & Journee, and move them to NC with us.

After two years of primarily stopping the bleeding so to speak, and focusing on raising grandchildren, I feel strongly to begin traveling again, both local and overseas, as well as focusing much time on my writing in the days ahead. In the short 7 months we lived in High Point in 2020, I began writing 3 books! So I want to jump back into that. After we have been in the area for a year or so, we also feel led to launch a church there, and we have friends & family who are anticipating that so they can jump on board with us. God has blessed us with so many wonderful friends, and we are truly grateful.
