The Vogies' Belize Mission Trip

We are the Vogelgesangs a family of performers. We love bringing music, clowning and dance to children of all ages. When we started our family we have always tried to use our gifts to bring joy to others. Since leaving the circus ring both Jim and I (Barb) are most often found in a classroom of one sort or another. Jim is a special ed teacher and I teach theatre and writing.
Now we have some exciting news...
We've been approved to go to South America this summer on a mission trip to LOL Ministry which is located in the village of Jacintoville, Belize. Jacintoville is about 15 minutes from the closest town called Punta Gorda on the southern point of Belize, close to the border of Guatemala. Alex, Sarah, Jim and I will be traveling with our team from Hope Community E.C. Church to minister to orphans who live there.
LOL Ministry is an international organization that exists to love and nurture orphans, neglected and disadvantaged children and young adults. Its focus is to bring restoration through God’s love, allowing children and youth to discover their potential, while equipping and releasing them into their divine destiny and future.
We are excited about the opportunity and experiences that lie ahead. Prayer support is so important to the success of this mission; we would like to know if we can count on you in that area. Please pray daily for the following:
· The children and staff at LOL Ministry
· Preparation and travel details to go smoothly
· Finances and fundraising efforts.
· Travel to and from Belize
· Cultural barriers to be overcome
· That God allows us to touch the lives of the children in Belize with Christ’s love.
· For our family to grow in our faith and compassion for others.
As you can imagine, a trip like this requires a financial commitment. For our family, it will cost $6,000. We would be very grateful if you could help support us in a financial way All contributions are tax deductible. We are offering several thank you options to donors that are good for a year.
