Stargardt disease is a rare, inherited genetic eye condition that causes progressive loss of central vision by damaging the macula, the part of the retina responsible for sharp, detailed vision that we all take for granted.

Symptoms typically include blurred and wavy vision, blind spots, difficulty seeing in low light, and impaired colour perception, usually appearing in childhood or early adulthood.

It is caused by genetic mutations, with no current cure but ongoing research into treatments that you are able to donate to and make a real difference where it is needed.
