CREATING THE COMMUNITY'S THEATRE

Hello! I’m Cheryl, and I’m the Founder and Artistic Director of, Village Barn Playhouse, Kingsburg’s newest independent theater company. We always new Kingsburg was where we wanted to raise our family, but also that we wanted to make this community feel like family! We believe The Village Barn Playhouse will become a cherished staple here in town because our mission is to engage, inspire, and uplift our community through the art of story-telling. We are dedicated to diversity and aim to provide quality theatrical productions ranging from classics to engaging dramas, hilarious comedies, new plays, educational programs, and a cherished space for fellowship to grow! Our Volunteer Pledge: as the Artistic Director of the Village Barn I pledge that every cast will provide hours of community service in some form in order to serve the city we love, and to give back in a meaningful way. 



THE SHOW MUST GO ON

Yes, we are starting a new theater company in the middle of a pandemic! And this Go Fund Me is focused on producing our inaugural socially-distanced production of Animals Out of Paper by Rajiv Joseph.





Directed by the wonderful Liz Lanier and staring Nicole Starett, Daniel Botello, and Rohan Chugani – Animals Out of Paper is set to run December 4th – December 13th with 6 total performances. THE NITTY GRITTY

Funding will go directly toward production expenses along with some simple tweeks that will help transform the barn into a more traditional playspace.

Production expenses include: Rights to the show, payment for actors/production/design team, lights/lighting grid, set building, set design, props, & costumes.

Space transformation projects include: building raised platform for audience seating, building safe ramps for entrances and exits.

Any extra funds raised will go directly into future village barn productions/projects.

We are aiming to reach our goal by  November 18th, 2020 so that in 4 weeks we can be fully prepared to step into tech week with all the pieces in place.
