The View From Here: Honoring 20 Years of Dance
Bellingham Repertory Dance (BRD) is thrilled to announce its 20th season of contemporary dance in Bellingham! For this milestone year, we are preparing a 3-weekend run of shows at the Firehouse Arts and Events Center in April 2026. The concert will feature loved works from the past, as well as new creations that feature season 20 company members and BRD alumni.
But we need your help to make it happen!
Producing high-quality shows costs thousands in choreographer fees and travel, rehearsal and venue space rentals, costumes and props, and paid production staff. In addition to hosting an in-person fundraiser on October 18 at Hotel Leo, our goal is to raise $7200 via this online campaign to support our 2026 concert expenses. Gifts of any amount are so appreciated and make a tangible difference in BRD’s ability to continue its work.
Established in 2005, BRD is a dancer-run and directed 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The collective creates opportunities for movement artists to perform and create works by both established and emerging choreographers. All BRD dancers are volunteers and none are paid for their time spent in rehearsals, meetings, or doing the administrative work of running the nonprofit. It is truly a labor of love, powered by BRD members past and present, and by the generous community support we receive each year. We hope you will join us in making season 20 our most memorable yet!
