Hi,

As many of you know, I was born and raised in Morocco. I still have a lots of family there and I had a chance to go for a visit just this past June. My dad's family is from Tizguine, a village that is just ~10 Km from the centre of the earthquake. We are mourning and aching for the lives lost and all the critically injured people. Furthermore, inhabitants of most surrounding villages, even those without significant casualties, are obligated to stay out of their homes, as buildings have sustained significant damage and their safety is still unclear.

One of our close friends in Ottawa is heading to the most affected areas, in the next day or two. He is planning to rent a big van and help out as much as possible, with food, camping supplies, medical supplies, rides etc... I decided to take-on a fundraising campaign knowing that the collected funds will go to a trusted person acting directly to help those most in need.
