Update: Thank you to everyone that has helped so far! We are truly blessed and appreciate. I have managed to get financed for a reliable used car with full warranty, so that will alleviate some concerns. We were able to pay rent for September. There is of course the ongoing costs of driving, parking fees, etc. As for everything else, Rosemarie is home for now, but will need to go back in hospital again to start her next phase of treatment.

Hi, my name is Paul. I'm doing this on behalf of my family and I. My wife Rosemarie was diagnosed with A.L.L. (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) in early June. It's been a pretty rough go for her but most days she's still able to put on a brave face and smile! Bless her heart!

Rosemarie and I have been together for 29 years and married for 24. We have persevered through many hard times. We have 2 beautiful daughters 19 and 15. We have also been blessed with an absolutely adorable Grandson who just turned 1!

This is a very difficult time in our lives as some of my family/friends are already aware. We are hopeful with Rosemarie's cancer treatments. She's been having allergic reactions to her current course of treatment meds. Soon the Doctors will be trying a different type of treatment starting next month some time. We are truly hopeful this next try goes better.

With myself, I've been off work since early July on stress leave to take care of my own health issues and to be the best possible caregiver I can for Rosemarie. I'm am receiving a percentage of my wage and Rosemarie has been unable to work for a long time even before the diagnosis. We have used almost all our savings and maxed out my credit cards with all the costs associated with Cancer stuff, hospital trips, meds and other treatments not covered.

And just last weekend, my 2014 Ram with 195,000 kms - truck's transmission failed. I have found out it's going to cost around $15,000 to replace with Dodge being the only place that carries the rebuild units. Or used $7000 but only guaranteed for 1 month. We are now searching for a reliable used vehicle. I am cashing out what little savings I have left but it's nowhere near enough. I'm hoping to get a reliable used inexpensive vehicle with warranty and very minimal payments that I can afford. Of course on top of trying to pay rent, utilities, food and now transportation to medical appointments.

So with all that, it has taken a big financial toll on us. This is an extremely difficult ask for me as I pride myself on working hard to take care of things on my own. Like working overtime, selling things off, etc.

We are truly hoping to get a bit of help with anything you can spare? Even $10/$20 here and there can add up. It would be applied to our living expenses with the extra being used towards a good used car.
