The Velasco Ohana

Friends of the Velasco Family,

As you may or may not know, after a sudden and heartbreaking battle, John James Velasco tragically passed away on August 20, 2022 of complications from Covid-19.

A loving husband to Rosie, supportive father to Elise and Chris, doting grandfather to Rebelle, father-in-law to be to Emily “Emmy” and Travis. John will be remembered as a wise, gentle, and passionate person who enjoyed bringing joy to others either through his green thumb or his beautiful voice. John strived to make the most of time and will continue to survive in our memories as a wise, caring, and passionate life who enjoyed bringing joy to others who were anxious to be understood.

In an effort to lessen the financial burden, we have started a fundraiser. No family is ever prepared for the high cost of a funeral, and during this difficult time we are reaching out to John’s community for help.
