Something many of us share is an unwavering dedication to our friendships, the family we are bound to by blood, and the family we choose. Another thing more of us have in common is our love for the most soothing punk rock soul in Tulsa. He's a man of many names, but the most common one is Jay White.
The Jay that we all love and care for in monumentally and multi-faceted ways is in a dire situation. As you may or may not have heard at this point, over the past two months Jay has been in and out of hospital stays, under strict dialysis treatments, and has most recently nearly met death eternally were it not for the direct action of friends, caregivers, and our community.
The prospects of getting to see our friend again in the flesh are pretty slim, and we hope that everyone is able to accept and respect that. Jay has a strong team of people surrounding him and one of the best ways we can show our support for him is by reinforcing the fact that none of us are in this alone.
This is our opportunity to help financially contribute to the extreme costs of Jay's treatment and ease the stress of an already overwhelming and exhausting situation for his caregivers.
The aim with this campaign is to direct funds to support the caregivers hosting Jay humbly in their home when he is released from OSU Medical Center. This process could last for a moment, a day, a month. And while we can't see Jay right now, we CAN make sure the support systems are in place and ready to answer whatever his needs may be.
