There are no words to describe the shock of the recent and devastating diagnosis for Lexi. In late November, after having severe hip pain for more than two months, an MRI revealed a sizable mass in her femur. No longer able to bear weight on her leg, she immediately went on crutches to avoid a fracture. Countless scans, doctors appointments, blood draws, and a bone biopsy confirmed what we feared: a diagnosis of stage 4 cancer adenocarcinoma.

While we are reeling with the news of Lexi's recent and startling diagnosis, we are determined to do everything we can to fight. A treatment plan is underway that includes surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and a targeted antibody therapy, which will continue indefinitely. We are preparing for a challenging road ahead of growing medical costs and unexpected child care needs.
