Before he passed, I met Gilbert Baker — the man who stitched our Pride flag into existence. The flag that has united our community for the last 50 years.

He looked me in the eyes and asked:

“How will your generation carry the flame our brothers and sisters lit in 1969?”

That question lives inside me.

For 50 years, the flag gave us something to gather under. It gave us visibility. Survival. Pride.

But now, it’s time to build what they never had the chance to:

Not just visibility.

Not just survival.

Real connection. True belonging. A new system.

That’s what Unitē is.

We’re building a platform for queer connection — not built on swipes, algorithms, or endless scrolling — but on us.

On trust. On real-world friendships. On chosen family. On the kind of belonging we all long for but rarely find.

This isn’t about an app.

It’s about a new way of showing up for each other.

It’s about taking everything they fought for — and building the next chapter.

I won’t stop.

But I can’t build this alone.
