Help Kelly Unger Fight Cancer with Hope and Healing

In December 2025, our family’s world shifted when Kelly Unger was diagnosed with cancer. Like so many families facing this road, we quickly learned that the treatment options available in Canada were limited for Kelly’s specific needs. After much prayer, research, and difficult decision-making, Kelly and his family chose a path rooted in hope.

Kelly, his wife Leanne, and their children Tobyn and Avalon travelled from Mitchell, Manitoba, to San Diego—and then onward to Tijuana, Mexico—where Kelly is currently receiving care at the Hope4Cancer Clinic. This clinic focuses on holistic, life-giving treatments and has an encouraging success rate for patients like Kelly. We are incredibly grateful to share that he is responding well to treatment, and we see daily reminders that this journey, while difficult, is filled with purpose, faith and miracles.

If you know Kelly, you know he’s not one to seek the spotlight. He’s a loving husband, a fantastic father, and a steady presence to everyone around him. Kelly has spent more than 35 years as an autobody technician, bringing dedication and pride to his work every day. Outside of work, you’ll find him hanging outside with his kids, tackling a woodworking project, fishing, relaxing at the lake, or quietly cracking a joke at just the right moment. Kelly has always had a way of finding humor—even in tough situations—and that spirit hasn’t left him now.

Travel and accommodations for Kelly and his family

Lost income while they are away from home

Our goal for this fundraiser, is to allow Kelly and his family to focus fully on recovery rather than financial stress.
