On December 29th, 2022, James unexpectedly passed away doing what he was most passionate about, cooking. In the early morning hours of December 29th, 2022, James got up for work like he did every other day of the year. After spending a few days off with his beloved wife and daughters out of town for Christmas not knowing it would be their last, he returned to his everyday routine, waking up bright and early and going to work as a head chef at the Happy Chef restaurant in Lake Placid Florida. Sadly, he passed away in the restaurant, while prepping for the busy day ahead. James' love for cooking started as a small child, standing at the stove on a chair in his grandmother's kitchen. James was loved beyond measure by his wife and family. He was the sole provider for his wife Beth Sprague, who is now widowed, and has no idea what she will do. Beth loved James dearly, they met in 2007, and have been inseparable ever since. They got married in August of 2011, and from there built a beautiful life together. He became the stepfather two her two beautiful daughters and took care of everything under the sun for all of them. He was such an incredibly giving human, loved unconditionally, never said no, was always willing to help anyone who asked and never left anyone out in the cold. James was her rock, her life, her everything. Beth is now left with picking up the pieces that have now shattered around her, the only source of income for the past nearly 3 years has been James because he didn't want his wife to work, he wanted her to take care of the home and spend more time with her children, and only grandson. Beth has now been left with all of the finances unexpectedly because James had no known medical conditions or issues. She is now left to figure out where to go and what to do. She has no source of income other than her small sales of art creations. His passing has left her with a mortgage, a car payment, cremation costs, and so much more. James was one of the best people anyone has ever known, if anyone is willing to donate or help his family and his wife financially, it would be deeply appreciated.
