Ron Irwin wrote the book "51-50 the Book" which details his 13 month experience in Chu Lai, Vietnam but it is not your typical war story It is a series of events, some horrifying others hilarious. In reaches its peak when with only 3 days left in country Ron, a mere Corporal is sent to pick up a Marine General. He asks the General why they were in Vietnam and the General's answer was unbelievably shocking. What happens next is utterly insane and totally unforgettable.
More than 58000 Americans died in the Vietnam war and well over 3 MILLION Vietnamese died and to this day the question remains WHY?
Now Ron is working with others to make a movie of this adventure, The funds sought here will be used to develop a pitch reel in an effort to get the project to the next step of a feature film.
