The Ukrainians of Severodonetsk Need Your Help!

The non-governmental organization “Klokolovo”, through its head Andrei Berezhko, needs your emergency help . “Klokolovo” was founded in 2018 by Berezhko and the residents of the cities of Lisichansk, Severodonetsk, Pooasnaya, Kharkjiv and the village of Ustinovka.  

Their group of 60 volunteers built modern electrical networks, water supplies, and had begun to renovate roads and equip a public beach.  However everything was destroyed by Russia when they started a devastating war on the Ukrainian homeland. Unceasing bombardments by Russian air forces and the shelling from its artillery turned their homes into ruins.

A large number of people were forced to leave their homes and flee to other countries or safer places in Ukraine. Those unable to leave were forced to take shelter in the basements of their destroyed houses. In the chaos, many elderly and disabled people have been left behind since they cannot flee on foot across rough terrain.

Not only have our homes been destroyed, but also our workplaces leaving us without income and livelihood. Although the government of Ukraine is

providing some assistance, it is barely enough for food and the most basic needs. Our Country has been pushed to its limits. Many of us left our homes the most basic necessities or even a change on clothes. Those who stayed at home need sources of electricity, transportation, portable stoves, food, medicine, blankets and warm clothes.  Many citizens had to leave behind Animals, who need feed and veterinary supplies.  Fuel for cars and generators are needed. in the chaos, many elderly and disabled people have been left behind since they cannot travel on foot across rough terrain. Ukrainians are fleeing their homes for safer lands, only to find the rest of Ukraine bombed as well.

We have already lost everything, but the most difficult is yet to come. We need your help and support  to survive these difficult times. As we have seen it does not appear that this war will end soon, we need to be able to survive

HOW YOUR MONEY WILL SUPPORT

Transportation out of active war zones. Fuel, vehicles, etc. We have had to evacuate man children, then elderly, the disabled.

Basic Needs for those who stay: Housing, food, portable stoves, fuel, Heat, blankets, warm clothes. Vehicles to allow the safe transport of goods and people, giving our community members the ability to make some sort of income again.

Housing and shelter: The destruction of our homes as well as the displacement of Ukrainians around the country seeking safer accommodations have left many without adequate shelter.

Medical Care: Emergency medical supplies, Medications, Veterinary Care
