We are grateful to have secured grant funding from Sterling Foundation Management LLC, which has helped move this important project forward. However, additional funding is still needed to complete the film and ensure its message reaches the communities, families, and individuals who can benefit most from increased awareness and understanding of dyslexia.
Funds raised through our GoFundMe campaign will help cover the remaining production and post-production costs needed to complete the film. This includes editing, sound design, music licensing, graphics, narration, marketing, and community screenings.
Dyslexia affects millions of children and adults, yet far too many go undiagnosed and unsupported. When a child struggles to read, write, or learn, the issue is often misunderstood as a lack of effort rather than a learning difference. The consequences can be lifelong, affecting education, self-esteem, employment opportunities, and, in some cases, involvement with the criminal justice system. Our film seeks to shine a light on these realities, educate families and educators about the warning signs of dyslexia, and inspire earlier intervention and support. By supporting this project, you are helping us give a voice to those whose struggles often go unseen and helping create a future where every child has the opportunity to succeed. Together, we can replace misunderstanding with awareness, stigma with support, and barriers with opportunity.
