LOGLINE:
An eccentric playboy boasts his risky lifestyle in between two women who may be bigger deviants than he is.
SYNOPSIS:
The story follows Vince, a black millennial who’s inspired by the 1992 film, Boomerang, to become the ultimate player. He juggles a “Friends with Benefit” relationship with Ava, but desires Lonni, a woman who won’t give Vince the time or day. After almost giving up, a surprised Vince gets a chance to impress Lonni and win her over. Vince however may see his decisions of the past come back to haunt him with consequences. A horror comedy inspired by an inside joke from the film, Boomerang, The Twizzots is an original take on the promiscuous lifestyle of those who don’t heed the warning of not being careful.

THE DIRECTOR:
James “JR” Rhaburn is a Los Angeles, California native that embodies the grit of true LA culture. Over the years, James has crafted a lot of handwritten scripts spanning multiple genres to keep inspired & creative. Since 2010, James has been a creative influence on a number of projects, including short films,
music videos, miscellaneous videography work in commercials/advertisements & social media content. As a result of his work on these projects, mostly through independent means, he was able to slowly invest in camera equipment to make short films. Over the course of Rhaburn’s career, he has collaborated and network to pull himself up in an ever-competing industry. The Twizzots will be the most ambition project for the cast & crew to date. This film could potentially elevate everyone involved to the next stage of their careers. Taking Spike Lee’s advice of “By Any Means Necessary”, James “JR” Rhaburn plans to follow in the filmmaking footsteps of notable directors like Lee, Steven Spielberg, Michael Mann, Tarantino, Soderbergh, Fincher & Coogler, and many others creating films that tell stories across multiple genres.
