The Twelve Bridges challenge
We will be taking on the Twelves Bridges Challenge which covers just over half a marathon to raise money for The OLLIE Foundation taking place on Saturday 15th May. This 25km run will take place in central London on the basis that the government guidelines will allow us to take on this challenge as a trio. Rest be assured we do have a plan B which also equates to 25km so we are taking this challenge very seriously .
The OLLIE Foundation is a charity dedicated to delivering suicide awareness, intervention and prevention training led by empowering professionals and young adults in their own communities to lead suicide prevention activities. This is achieved by :
* Providing confidential help and advice to young people and anyone worried about a young person.
* Helping others prevent young suicide by delivering a number of training programmes
*Campaigning and influencing national policy.
The OLLIE Foundation 'aim to work with communities to promote good mental health among young people and those that support them'
We are taking on this challenge because all three of us have either suffered from the loss of a loved one through suicide/or lived with a mental health condition. We have witnessed the affects of suicide and mental health amongst us and for that we think it is extremely important to spread awareness and support those in need of it most. We strongly believe that nobody should suffer alone and that charities such as The OLLIE Foundation have the support and training programmes to provide the help needed.
For those wanting to donate to this incredible charity, please know that any donation; no matter how big or small, will make a huge difference. For those that want to show support but are unable to donate at this time, please show support by sharing our page, spreading awareness and checking in on loved ones near and far .
