On Friday, July 26th 2019, Hayden Turcotte was killed in a horrific traffic crash. The love of his life, Madeline Stroup, was also killed. Hayden’s best friend, Tyrell Gait, was seriously injured but has since been released from hospital. He continues to heal at home with his family.
Hayden, Maddy, and Tyrell were on their way to pick up another friend en route to the family cottage when their truck was struck by another vehicle. Thoughts and prayers for the 3 of them are appreciated.
"Support and outreach from family and friends has been awesome and more than we could ever have imagined. From this we are finding it a little easier to cope in this difficult time." - Paul & Ariel, Hayden's parents.
The Turcotte Family is raising money for many reasons. This fundraising will help with the family's loss of income, the celebration of life expenses, and other expenses the Turcotte's will incur during this time.
Also, the fundraising will go towards something Hayden was extremely passionate about: dirtbiking. Blue Mountain Motorcycle Club and the Squamish Dirtbiking Association were two of the organizations Hayden was involved in, He participated in organized rides, trail building, and racing. In the future, a race will be dedicated to Hayden, and a bridge is being built with a plaque, dedicating it to Hayden & Maddy. Funds from this page will go towards these events.
Thank you so much in advance for your contribution, and everyone that loved these two. They will be greatly missed.
