The Turco Family

Hi All. I've started this gofundme on behalf of the Turco Family. I am blessed and lucky to say that Eric and Liz have been some of my dearest friends for over 20 years. If you know them, you're lucky too. Chances are good that at some point they have housed you or helped you move or fixed your car or watched your kids or have just in general been there for you when you needed support. And without a doubt, Eric has fed you.

In May 2021, Eric went to the ER for suspected appendicitis only to find out that it was cancer, later to be officially diagnosed as Ewing Sarcoma, something that normally occurs in the bones, but can also start in the soft tissue of the abdomen. One intense surgery and a year of chemotherapy later, and things had been looking like they were in remission. However, in June they received the devastating news that the cancer had returned. Eric has once again begun chemotherapy, and is facing the possibility of more surgery or radiation that would keep him from work for upwards of 12 weeks.

While insurance will cover most of the medical costs, those that have ever had to fight cancer know that medical bills are just the tip of the iceberg, especially when working is not an option. I am reaching out in hopes that all of us who love Eric and Liz (and their kids Minerva and Jude, of course ) can come together and take this worry and weight off of their shoulders so that they can focus their energy on his recovery where it belongs.
