A little bit about us :
Our team of 6 kids based in Kitchener Waterloo region, Ontario, Canada is participating in a robotics competition called First Lego League, designed for ages 9-14. We recently secured the second place at the Regionals held at University of Waterloo on November 29th 2025. We have qualified to the provincial round and are in need for funds for project parts, merchandise, team wear, and informative flyers.
A brief overview of the competition
The competition consists of 3 major things:
- A lego robot you code to do tasks on a mat, where you collect up to 545 points and then presenting Robot design to judges.Using a LEGO SPIKE prime kit, we make our own robot and code it using either block or python. Our robot is called ROMBA and has over 10 attachments and collected 335 points during our match in regionals!!

- An Innovation project to solve a problem related to the theme. This year, the theme is archeology. You can make an app, a circuit, or anything creative that shows your best efforts and teamwork on a shared innovation. We chose to build a sensor based circuit to solve a shipping problem. Next, you have to present this project to judges. While building is fun, cost is a major consideration.

- And the final aspect is Core Values. These are the foundations of your team which judges look for. Hard work, Cooperation, Impact, Innovation, Teamwork, and Inclusion are all examples of traits you need to show to win. Respect for others and gracious professionalism are very important factors and key to being a good competitor.
Ever since regionals, our team has been working hard to make robots, expand circuits, and crack codes! We are proud to say that we are going to provincials on February 1st, 2026!!
