It is with the deepest shock & heartbreak that we very suddenly & very tragically lost a huge part of our hearts & lives. Doug was only 39 years young. Anyone who knew Doug, loved him. His heart was one of the biggest and realest. I am at a loss for words right now, but wanted to start this fundraiser for his Mom Tami, Dad Bob, his Son Richard, his Girlfriend Gina, & the many friends who he considered family. Doug was the kind of person who made the world brighter with his presence. He had a passion for the Steelers & cooking. You could often find him behind a grill, wearing his infamous Steelers Jersey, or sharing his infectious laughter. He was always quick to help out a friend, talk smack or make you laugh, & act goofy. Just being around him could make anyone feel happy & joyed. This unexpected loss has left Doug’s family in a state of deep grief and significant financial stress. As they navigate through this incredibly difficult time, they are faced with immediate and ongoing expenses, including funeral costs, household bills, and future educational needs for his son.
