The Touchstone Family

Hi we are Michael and Joanne Johnson. We are raising money for our Brother and Sister in-law as their youngest daughter Madalyn (Maddy) thirteen, was recently diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a very rare and aggressive bone cancer. Over the past couple of weeks Maddy has undergone a biopsy, CT scan, pet scan, and numerous other tests as well as her first round of Chemotherapy. She will also require a complicated surgery in the coming weeks to remove and replace the affected section of her humorous (large bone of the upper arm). The doctors believe that the cancer is both treatable and curable however, Maddy and her family have a long road ahead of them with 8 to 10 months of chemotherapy treatments. These treatments will require weekly trips and multi-day stays at the hospital. The funds raised will be to help the family with gas, food, multiple monthly prescriptions, weekly hospital stays that are not completely covered and other associated costs as they navigate these stressful and trying times.
