The Time is Now.
After over six YEARS of extensive cancer treatment, Jessica Huneycutt Carey's medical team has estimated she has just six MONTHS left on this earth. She has had extensive surgeries, done 6 months of chemotherapy, and has tried dozens of medications. Her focus now remains on quality of life. She knows time is precious, and the time is now.
Jessica is a 43 year old single mom, and passionate teacher. She has taught yoga to the New Orleans Saints since 2016, in addition to spending countless hours teaching in local schools, hospitals, churches, and nonprofits. She lives a life of service, including volunteering closely with the American Cancer Society - the same disease that took both her parents' lives over the past 8 years.
Now is her time of need. We very humbly ask your help in supporting her and her son. Jessica has Medicaid that covers *most of her medical costs. But as her ability to work continues to diminish, she will need support in paying for even basic living costs.
Your donation would allow Jessica to spend precious time with her son. To take care of herself physically (talk therapy, massage therapy, medications not covered by Medicaid). To travel when/if she is able - one of her greatest joys in life. Jessica lives a modest life, despite her love of sharing travel, food, and music with her nearest and dearest. Any donations after her passing will be managed on behalf of her teenage son.
Jessica is passionate about living a life of service, and is an advocate for health and healing. In addition to the her many volunteer pursuits, she is grateful to have taught and learned in churches, school, hospitals, ashrams, and monasteries across the world. Her work has been featured on TV, online, in print, and on various podcasts.
Jessica has brought light, strength, and love to so many lives in her short time on this planet. We ask humbly ask you reflect that energy back to her and her son - the time is now. Your generosity is truly appreciated.
