The Terzi Family- Helping Jacob

In the fall of 2018 Mandy and Bob Terzi learned that their five-year-old son, Jacob would need open heart surgery to repair a large hole in his heart. He had his surgery in November and things went well, however in December, Jacob was admitted back into the hospital due to pressure in his brain. Mandy has had to take Jacob back and forth to Columbia in Manhattan several times since December. Jacob has had three spinal taps and his parents still do not have any answers as to what has caused this and doctors are stumped on how to proceed with treatment for Jacob. There are some options, however they are considered invasive  procedures.  Mandy and Bob will soon be heading to the children's hospital in Philadelphia for a second opinion.  Bob also had to have his own surgery in the fall. The cost of going back and forth to Columbia and the medical bills are starting to add up and add stress to Jacob’s already worried parents. Jacob has seen the inside of a hospital more than any five-year-old should have to endure.
