Our mother Terri Scheinuck was diagnosed with lung cancer at the age of 60. We only learned recently in 2019 that the situation was deemed terminal. She tried Vitamin C treatments, Mistletoe treatments, homeopathic approaches, medicinal marijuana techniques for the pain, but to no avail.
The urge to empty the stomach, the lethargy, the fatigue, the cancer's hold was too strong. Regardless of the choice in the type of therapy there became no hope. The trials and attempts at cure has plagued the family's reserves, supplements, tests, therapy's flown in from Germany has exhausted savings accounts.
Our mom passed in less than 30 days.
Who is Terri Schienuck? Who would I be supporting? Terri, was a foster care mom for dogs. She would take in litters of puppies that shelters did not have the means to support. Karl, her partner of 35+ years built a puppy house in the rear of the yard with a/c, linoleum floors, hanging teething toys, and milk bones a plenty. Together they worked tirelessly through 30+ litters of puppies raising and helping worthy individuals adopt a potty trained and well-mannered family affectionate member. Terri and Karl have always had at least a few dogs of their own taking in strays here and there and animals less fortunate to find proper care. They have taken in three legged dogs, blind dogs, wild dogs and have nurtured each and every one through a dog-happy life! Their place up in Cottonwood, AZ the past 14 years has provided a comfortable and jubilant home for these loved animals.
If you have a soft spot for animals, if you care about people trying to make a positive difference in this world, then you would have liked Terri. She was our mom and our loudest cheerleader!
We appreciate you even taking the time to read this about our Mom! If you have the desire to donate, please know that your money is going to pay for services already rendered in the form of care to fight this cancer and help Karl carry out our mother's final wishes. Thank you for your consideration and any contribution!
