I’m raising funds for my team, Veronica Kelly and me, as we prepare to compete in this year’s Rebelle Rally as The Taco Belles. The Rebelle Rally is an eight-day, all-women, off-road navigation event that is totally off-grid, with no phone and no outside contact for eight days, which is part of what makes it such a wild and exciting challenge. Taking part in it means so much to me personally. Sports like this are often seen as being for men, and we want to help bring more visibility to women in this space.

This experience is about more than one event. As a woman in the automotive industry, I know how hard it can be to be taken seriously. Being able to compete in the Rebelle Rally would be a chance for me to grow, challenge myself, and show what women can do in a demanding off-road and navigation competition.

The funds from this fundraiser will go toward the rally entry fee, mechanic fees to disconnect navigation and Bluetooth systems, and gas costs. These are required parts of getting our vehicle ready and making it possible for us to participate.
