The Sustainable Spirit - Art of Lorelei Esser.

Edited and organized by V Jane Windsor.

Lorelei Esser’s work, admired by many, was never widely available. We want to create a beautiful book of the found object art she created, a book to help us remember her work and share it with others.

In her final days, Lorelei spoke of creating such a book and gave us the concept for it. A book was created for her to see, but that book was a kind of “rough draft.”

Today, to celebrate her birthday, we ask for donations toward creating “The Sustainable Spirit,” a monograph of Lorelei’s art creations, including her descriptions of the pieces. Be a contributor who helps make this beautiful book a reality. All donations move us closer to our goal.

In her diaries,
Lorelei Esser talked about the meaning of her art.

“I see the things of this world as having an awareness, though different from our own. The earth is vibrating with energy of its every creature. I like using found materials that have a history of energy. I see into them a new vision that holds the energy, that holds the spirit. I am creating the recognition of this spirit, this entity of life. I want it seen and felt. I want it to be a vehicle for others to be able to touch base with the spirit and understand who we are.”
