What is The Survivors' Circle?

We are a group co-founded by San Francisco holistic healers, Linda Edling and Jessie Boote, that is committed to supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse or any other trauma in their healing journey.  After the establishment of the #MeToo movement, we feel a calling to bring more awareness, education and support to our community in an effort to move onward and upward as well as make long-lasting social change.  The importance of connection is beyond our comprehension, and we believe coming together in a collective of solidarity can help you through anything and bring significant balance to the world!

What is their mission?

Our goal is to help empower and enhance the lives of all those who have experienced trauma by building connections amongst a circle of survivors thereby deepening their sense of community.  In order to facilitate this process, we are creating informative, impactful events that are donation-based and open to the public.  We will extend our support to the community at large by donating all proceeds to various non-profit organizations whose missions reflect our own.

What is happening on July 21st, 2019 in San Francisco?

The first gathering of The Survivors' Circle will be hosted at The Women's Building in the Mission, and we aim to bring upwards of 200 attendees to this beautiful, historic community center.  We strongly believe that education and mindfulness practices are vital tools for moving forward in the healing process, and, therefore, our event will include a panel of dynamic, expert speakers as well as guidance and instruction in breathwork and meditation. Our safe, intentional space will promote an open, judgment-free zone, and all proceeds will be donated evenly to the following non-profit organizations:

~Women Organized to Make Abuse Nonexistent, Inc. (W.O.M.A.N., Inc.
~Communities United Against Violence (CUAV)
~San Francisco Women Against Rape (SF WAR

Check out Eventbrite and Facebook to find out more about attending the event as well as our May 30th fundraiser

How does my GoFundMe donation support The Survivors' Circle?

Your contribution will be a vital component in our ability to reach more survivors and thus make a larger impact.  It will offset the event production costs as well as help us offer community-funded tickets for those who'd like to attend yet have a financial hardship.  Any additional donations will go directly to our three selected non-profit organizations.

Are there ways to help beyond donations and this event?

Yes!  We are looking for volunteers, sponsors, and support from anyone wanting to help spread the word.  If social media is your jam, feel free to tag us @thesurvivorscircle or with #thesurvivorscircle.  Also, we plan to host more events, workshops, and gatherings so if you're unable to get involved this time around, connect with us now on Facebook so we can include you in future updates!
