The Survivor Stories Project

SARA (formerly The Survivor Stories Project) is a non-profit organization that restructures institutional approaches to sexual assault through our mobile app. We dismantle rape culture and replace it with a culture of consent and support for survivors through education, technology, and community.

For individuals, our app provides evidence-based coping mechanisms so survivors can thrive and gives them all the resources they need to state their case if they choose to report the crime.

For institutions, we make prevention a priority by providing consent education and data on the types and frequency of assault happening. -awareness is the first step of real change

For society, we break the silence around sexual assault and magnify the power survivors through fierce live events.

My name is Sara, I'm a performing artist, app designer, and the founder of The Survivor Stories Project.   As a rape survivor, I’ve seen first hand how isolating, time-consuming, and expensive it is to recover from trauma.  I’ve also witnessed the immense lack of justice, education, and support that surrounds sexual assault.

I've done as much work as I can on my own, and right now I’m at a crucial point where this project needs funding to move forward and become a reality.

With your donations and support, I will be able to fully develop the app and start helping survivors right now.
