The Surrell Family

I’m Clyde Surrell’s fiancé, Maile’. As most of our friends and family know, Clyde suffered a major stroke in December 2018 and it has been a journey for Clyde’s recovery and for our whole family. We’ve had many ups and downs, physically for Clyde and financially as a family, but he has been working so hard to push through the obstacles. Unfortunately, on September 8th, 2020 Clyde was driving up the street to the grocery store and started having another stroke and a seizure. He fell unconscious and drove across a median into the back of someone’s home and has been in the hospital and a rehabilitation center since then. Thankfully Clyde only had minor injuries from the accident, but he suffered a blood clot on the right side of his brain and now has partial paralysis on his left side. He had the exact same type of stroke as the first time everything was just on the opposite side. Thankfully his speech wasn’t affected as much as the first stroke but he will need to continue physical and occupational therapy. I was working in a dental office and unfortunately lost my job during COVID and with 5 kids doing online school at home now and Clyde in the hospital I am unable to work. When Clyde is able to come home he will need me to care for him and be here with the kids full time. Any help will go towards our children’s needs, groceries, medical bills , rent and utilities, and expenses towards our car which is completely totaled. We love our friends and family so much and appreciate your prayers and help more than you know.
