Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out with a deeply personal request for support as I navigate one of the biggest challenges of my life.
On October 25th, 2023, I underwent surgery expecting a simple diagnostic laparoscopy with a possible ovarian cyst removal. I was nervous but relieved to finally feel heard by a medical professional who promised to take a closer look for answers. When I woke up, I received news that changed everything—I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Endometriosis.
The surgeon told me it was the most scar tissue they had ever seen in someone my age. They found extensive gunpowder lesions and clear endometriosis throughout my pelvis, the wall of my bladder on both sides of my abdomen, and even tunneling between my cervix and anus, creating a hole leading towards my bowels. While they removed some of it through cauterization, I later learned that true healing requires expert excision surgery, not just burning the tissue away.
My Journey Toward Healing
Since my diagnosis, I have completely changed my lifestyle to support my health. I’ve:
✔ Adopted an anti-inflammatory diet
✔ Prioritized nervous system healing
✔ Left my career working with toxic chemicals to reduce my exposure
✔ Explored functional medicine to support my immune system
Despite all my efforts, I now understand that I need the proper surgery to fully remove the disease and prevent further damage to my organs.
Why I Need Your Help
I am asking for support to cover the cost of this surgery that is unfortunately insurance does not cover so I can reclaim my life, health, and future.
After months of searching, I’ve found Dr. Andrea Vidali, MD, a highly regarded endometriosis specialist and reproductive endocrinologist based in New York City. Dr. Vidali is known worldwide for his expertise, compassionate approach, and unique methods that combine advanced excision surgery with long-term, personalized care. His integrative treatment gives me the best chance at lasting relief and healing but the cost of surgery and the need to travel out of state make this journey financially overwhelming.
Every donation, big or small, brings me one step closer to healing and being able to start my new business and life without the constant pain and limitations of this disease. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page would mean the world to me.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my story, supporting me, and helping me move forward in this journey.
With gratitude,
Bethany
