The Sundby Family

On the morning of December 19, 2023, Marlys Sundby's house caught fire. Marlys's daughter, Angela, along with Angela's teenage daughters, Kaitlyn and Courtney, and 2-year old son, Carter, were at home sleeping when the fire began. Everyone made it out of the house, but Carter has extensive burns and is currently being treated in Minneapolis. Angela is also receiving treatment for her burns in Minneapolis. The full extent of the damage is still unknown at this time. It is also unknown how much insurance will cover the property damage or medical expenses.

This is an especially hard time for the family with Christmas around the corner. Carter lost some of his favorite toys, stuffed animals, and books. Many photos and family momentos were lost to the fire.

The holidays will look much different this year, but Marlys, Angela, Kaitlyn, Courtney, and Carter are forever grateful to family and the community for the support that has been provided.

Donations will be provided directly to the family to cover replacement of items lost in the fire, food, basic necessities, and for uncovered medical expenses. Thank you to everyone who can make any donation whether through this page or to the family directly!
