The Sun Will Rise

City Lighthouse Theatre Company is a new, female-led theatre company based in London. We aim to produce new writings for all audiences, especially pieces that highlight stories and voices that are usually not heard in a traditional theatre.
Our first show will be ‘The Sun Will Rise’ written by Louise Moore and directed by Manisha Sondhi. It is scheduled to premiere on the 25-28th and 31st January, 2021 at the Etcetera Theatre in Camden.
Any funds raised will be put immediately towards rehearsal space for us to safely meet in, and towards our show production budget, including set, lighting, and costume. Additional funds will also be put towards other technical needs such as COVID-19 safety materials, technical staff and catering. Furthermore, we would like to use the money to give her our cast and crew stipends to thank them for their generosity and commitment to the piece and our company. Any profits made on this performance will go towards the company’s stability and growth.
We can assure any donors or potential donors that every penny will go directly into the company and creating work that we hope will make a difference. We would be incredibly grateful for any donations that anyone is willing to give. Any donors will receive a personal thank you from a cast or crew member to show much we appreciate their generosity. COVID-19 has greatly impacted the arts community and our aim is to continue creating work that we are passionate about and encouraging other artists to keep finding ways to be creative, despite all the challenges. Theatre is an art form that is severely struggling through this pandemic, but we hope that with this piece we can remind our cast, crew, audience, and the larger community that every day, the sun will rise.
