For many people, breaking into the games industry is hard enough without the added setbacks caused by the current situation.
Code Coven is seeking to help level the playing field.
Code Coven is an online classroom that provides courses teaching game development and programming skills to underrepresented groups. We’re currently seeking financial support as we make moves to further support our industry’s move to online work opportunities.
We need your help to make this happen.
Game developers all over the world have had their summer internships canceled due to COVID-19. These developers have been left without summer income, or the work experience needed to build their portfolio for future job applications.
Code Coven is excited to announce our first Summer Program to fill this gap and provide paid work opportunities for students and novice game makers.
Code Coven's Summer Program will band together multidisciplinary teams (artists, writers, designers, producers, audio gurus, programmers) from around the world to work on independent game projects.
The more money we raise, the larger our cohort, and the bigger our impact!
More About The Program
The Code Coven Summer Program is an 11-week game development incubator, where small multidisciplinary teams collaborate to bring a game from conception to completion.
Along the way, teams receive guidance and personalized mentorship from Code Coven and industry professionals. By the end of the summer, teams can look forward to completing a small and polished project to use as a portfolio piece, to approach publishers, or as the beginning of a longer development timeline.

Why We’re Fundraising
It’s important to our team that a stipend is provided to each member of the summer program cohort so that their hard work and time is compensated. This support allows participants to focus on their projects and career development.
We also make sure to pay our staff fair wages and offer stipends for guest speakers during our programs.
Your contribution ensures that we’re able to continue offering quality education, empowering mentorship, and work opportunities within the games industry! Thank you!
Code Coven is also working to secure sponsorship funding.
If you are a part of a company or organization and would like to partner with us, please email us at hello at codecoven dot co
We’ve had lots of amazing applicants proving that the need is there.
We’d love to be able to support all of them through their journey, however, in order to run this program, we need help.
Thank you,
Tara, Francesca & Karla
