It's with tremendous pain that I can finally type this out informing all of our family and friends, that on Friday, March 1st 2024, I found my husband, Gene Jordan, took his own life.
My best friend, my other half, for the past 12 years, is gone. This was so unforeseen by the person closest to him, his very own wife, and mother to his youngest child of only 12 months old , that I felt the need to make a post , and add to the spread of awareness, that mental health, is not something to take lightly, no matter how much someone tells you they will talk about it another time and that they are ok.
Find someone they WILL talk about it to, because later may never come. Reach out to others for help, you will be surprised at how many people truly love you, and would be there in a blink of an eye to help you through your struggles. Never try to handle things alone. Know that, you are never alone.

12 years, has only felt like a few days, it was not enough, and living on without him seems unfathomable. Watching our son grow these past few days without his dad, has ripped a hole inside of me that I will never know how to fix.
I love you more than you could ever understand Gene, our son loves you immensely, and you didn't have to go.
All that I know now, is I have to continue on for our son, he needs me more now, than ever. Hes already searching for you, and cant understand why things are so different so quickly. He will be curious as to who you were when he's old enough to understand, and im going to try my ass off, to make sure you still live through us.
Tattooing was your outlet. It is, and was, our way of life, and I've supported you through it all this time, and I will continue to support it even long after your gone. Your life collection, your machines, every sketch, every painting, ill hold close to my heart, in a safe place for our son to uncover when he's older.
He will be able to learn about the man I fell in love with, and maybe, just maybe, he can pick up right where his dad left off.
We love you Gene... and would do anything to have just one more minute with you by our side.

We have started a gofundme or have an account you can zelle, if you would like to donate to help support Genes funeral services. As you can imagine how sudden this was for my family and I, every little bit helps, no matter how small. Any left over funds will go directly towards keeping Gene's tattoo shop open and running business as usual, to keep his legacy alive.
