I’m in a really tough spot. I don’t want to have to ask for your help, but I know I can’t do it on my own. Your help is more appreciated than you will ever know.
My landlord is selling her home which means I will be out and forced to live on the street. I have some time to work with, but not much. I need to find a new place to live, but I need money to do that. Any help you can give will keep me from being homeless.
I work at a local hospital in the laundry department. It’s a scary place to work because we deal with all of the infected clothes. Right now, the concern is the COVID-19 pandemic and the possibility of contracting it in my line of work, but if it isn’t that, there is always the concern of getting sick from something. It isn’t an ideal situation, but my job is more than many people have and it helps me pay my bills. Unfortunately, it doesn’t pay much: barely enough to get me from paycheck to paycheck. It certainly doesn’t provide me enough to put money aside so that I could be prepared for something like this.
I’m asking you for any donation you are able to give to help me reach my goal of $5,000. This amount will help me with a down payment for a new place plus pay rent while I am trying to deal with last month’s rent for my current place and first month’s rent/security deposit and fees for a new place.
