My name is Jody, I live in a very remote part of Spain. My friends and family probably know me best for my big heart….And I am becoming known as the kitten lady here due to the number of kittens I have taken in to save their lives. My heart led me to rescue them as I couldn’t see the pregnant mummy cats struggling to survive with kittens, looking for food & water in the intense Spanish heat.

 

A lady who was staying in a house nearby was feeding a cat and her four kittens, when she left to go back to UK she asked me to look after the little family, so I took them in. Those kittens are now 8 weeks old and ready to be adopted, however they need to be checked over by a vet and given vaccinations plus worming treatment.

 

More recently I was asked for help for a pregnant cat that another lady had found but couldn’t keep. There was no one else to help that cat, so I took her in as well. She had nine kittens, although one did not survive. Those kittens are now five weeks old and eating solid food and lots of it….

 

I now have 12 kittens and two adult cats, my home is currently their sanctuary, but I can’t do this alone, I am hoping to find homes for them all. I’m reaching out to kind souls to help me provide food, vet care, and as much love as possible to these innocent lives. I also need to take the mothers to the vet to be sterilised and blood tested, and kittens to be checked over, treated for parasites and vaccinations.

 

I very much hope that you will be willing to donate to pay for the female cats to be neutered, and treatment for an eye problem for one of them. Also all the general health checks the kittens required. I will be sharing photos of the kittens far and wide to find homes for them. It would be much easier if they have been checked and vaccinated.

 

I also rescued two stray dogs that need veterinary treatment, so that’s two more hungry mouths to feed…I couldn’t possibly turn them away either, I believe animals are very spiritual and turn to the people they know are most likely to give them the help they so desperately need, these lost little souls have an intuition that leads them to the kindest people most willing to rescue them from living a tragic life on the streets.
