The story I’ll tell

Hi, as some of you may know, I lost my baby boy Ashtin on 7/11/24. I want to tell you all somewhat of my story to raise awareness and help someone else prevent a loss. I have also fallen on hardship from being on short-term disability since May. I literally manifested my baby boy. I would walk around telling people I was going to have a baby, even put it on my vision board in December of 2023. So, March comes and I found out I’m pregnant. I was filled with so many emotions, but all in all, I was excited.

Fast forward to May 5 of 2023 is when everything got scary. I was bleeding at work, went to the emergency room and was told I was having a threatened miscarriage. From that point, at nine weeks pregnant, I was put on bed rest. For the next 7 weeks, I was back and forth from the doctor with complaints of pain and some bleeding. Every time I would go get checked, they would tell me everything was fine and it was normal because I have a short cervix and he was in the lower sac. So, I just thought those answers were fine because I have never had a high-risk pregnancy.

On 7/09/24 my water ends up breaking, I go to the ER again and I’m sent home after bleeding for two hours and told I can deliver within the next 24-48 hours. On 7/10/24 I go back to the ER because my cord had prolapsed, I’m admitted to labor and delivery, baby boy's heart was still strong, even after everything going on I still had hope . 7/11/24 ultrasound tech came in and checked on him and his heart had stopped, so the hours went by and I finally delivered my baby boy Ashtin at 14:24 7/11/24 ️. Shortly after delivering, I was rushed to the OR because I started to hemorrhage, which was the scariest experience, all I could do was cry and pray that God keep me here on this Earth.

Upon waking up off the ventilator, I found out I almost died. Blood pressure 40/30, losing 6L of blood and getting 10 units and hearing my family say that they were told that the surgeons are doing all they can to save my life. So, later on that night, the surgeon comes in to check on me and that is when I found out I had a condition called Placenta Accreta (where the placenta attaches to the uterus and possibly other organs). I did not know any of this and I felt as if my symptoms were ignored and overlooked because I had already been diagnosed with a short cervix.

Right now I’m currently still out recovering. Me and my boys could really use help during this hard time. This is just part of my journey and I know it’s going to be tough but I know God has us.
