The Stoker Family

Donation protected

Travis, Rick and Karen Stoker were hit by a vehicle yesterday morning 4-24 around 8am while a tow truck driver was loading up Travis's car on the tow truck. Unfortunately Travis lost both of his parents Rick and Karen in the accident. Travis is 25 years old was taken to the hospital with injuries. The tow truck driver that was helping Travis also lost his life in the accident.

I can not imagine the pain Travis and his family are going through. I want to start this GoFundMe to hopefully relieve the stress of money. Travis is going to have medical bills and his family and him will have funeral expenses that I hope we can raise enough money to cover for them to try an relive some of the stress.

Travis has been a great coworker and always willing to help even if he is not 100% sure how to, he ask anyways. I want him, his sister and the rest of the family to not have to worry about money in this terrible situation that they are going through. Anything helps and I thank you all for your support.

I have attached the article below.

Here is a word from his sister Ashley

Yesterday around 3 pm I got a knock on my apartment door in Cheney where I go to school. I was informed that there had been an accident and both my parents were instantly killed. My brother was rushed into surgery. After breaking down I had to push through and drive home with Cornelia(my pet cat.) I got home around 10:00 last night.
I have heard variations of the story. This is what I currently understand: Travis was driving in Kelso. I’ve heard that he either spun out of control or broke down on the side of the road. Doesn’t matter now. He called a tow truck to tow his car and my parents to come pick him up. The tow truck guy was loading up his car. My parents were parked behind him. Travis got into the car and they were waiting on (either paperwork or for the car to be fully loaded?) that is when a female under the influence ran into my parents car pushing them forward into the tow truck. The man in between the truck and my parents car was instantly killed. My parents were instantly killed. Travis and the intoxicated person were taken to the hospital. Travis has non life threatening internal injuries and some banged up limbs. He has some internal tears they fixed in surgery. A few fractured ribs. His right arm and left leg are in casts. And some bruises on his body. As I write this I am in the ICU with him. He’s been in and out of it. The nurse said when he’s up he wants food. Of course he does. He doesn’t know what really happened. He knows his name and that he’s in the hospital. He’ll be recovering for a while.
Thank you for all your love and support but I don’t know what I need right now. Yes I will reach out if I figure out I do need something.
This is the worst nightmare and it doesn’t seem real. I don’t get it. Reevaluation will happen again around 9-10 this morning.

My father was dedicated to taking care of his family. His purpose was to make sure Travis and I start out our own lives educated and debt free. He made many personal sacrifices for us. He loved anything with wheels and a motor. He was dedicated to the Dock Hannah Collision Center operation and all those who worked there. He was a leader with a kind heart.

My mother was my absolute best friend. She was that for anyone who needed it. My mom and I shared a passion for volunteering and giving back. She enjoyed taking photos and making scrapbooks, her morning coffee and nature. She was the best mother dedicated to volunteering in the schools Travis and I went to to ensure we had a great experience. She was the classroom mom, on the PTA, PTO, and grad night committee. She attended every field trip.

They met in the 6th grade and were married in 1989. They celebrated their 30th anniversary by taking a Mexican Rivera cruise and enjoyed every minute of it. They were in it for the long haul. Till death do us part.

I can’t find the words to describe the pain and numbness I feel right now. I can’t find the words to describe what wonderful people they were. They were kind, selfless, loving good hearted people taken away way too soon.
