This is a fundraiser for The Stews; who's van has been robbed twice in the last 48 hours. First, the band's van was broken into on tour this past Sunday night, August 14th, in Denver, CO. The thieves took the front door handle off and stole four guitars, a Sony A7 camera, and Sony Lenses. As you can imagine amid a 2-month summer tour, this was detrimental to morale and put the band in a challenging situation.

Nonetheless, they fixed the door Monday, August 15th and decided to leave Denver to get towards Texas for the shows this upcoming weekend. Unfortunately, the band chose to sleep in Albuquerque, NM, where the van was broken into for the second night in a row. This time the thieves smashed the front right passenger window, stole an acoustic guitar and attempted to steal the entire van + trailer. They destroyed the van's ignition and steering wheel section attempting to hot wire/carjack the vehicle + trailer.

The band is currently stuck in Albuquerque, NM, attempting to overcome this gut-wrenching situation. Unfortunately, the dealer has told them the van cannot be seen until tomorrow and will likely need custom parts shipped to get this fixed. As a result, the band might not be able to play these upcoming shows in Texas and has no timetable for getting the van fixed yet.

This fundraiser is designed to help the band recoup the cost of stolen gear, van repairs, and loss of show income. All proceeds will go directly to The Stews. This band is as dedicated to their music/profession as anyone, and these heartless criminals have halted that. Undoubtedly they will overcome this unfortunate circumstance, but any support means the world if you feel inclined to help contribute and donate.
