The start of a new chapter for us

Hi everyone!

 

My name is Karla and I’m a mother to a beautiful boy named Lucas.

I am 23 years young and my boy is 4 years young.

I want to start off by mentioning that I never thought I’d be creating a Go Fund Me to ask for the support of my friends, family, community and whoever else sees this.

I want to first acknowledge Gods Hand in my life and for keeping us healthy and safe. In everything we do, he’s always right by our sides and I’m extremely  grateful for how many mountains God has moved in our lives.

I have prayed and meditated on creating this Go Fund Me page because I genuinely feel some sort of guilt asking for help, seeing as so many of us are struggling with our own problems with life and stabilities. So I ask for forgiveness to anyone who doesn’t see this as a positive solution or way of asking for help.

I was recently employed in a position where I worked alongside covid patients and truthfully, I loved my job. Unfortunately, due to the lack of patients that we’re getting admitted, there was no more work to be done so I no longer had the privilege of working in the facility I was in. Things took a turn from that point and I realized that I wanted to continue my education so that I can continue to work with patients in the medical field and stick to what I love doing most and that’s helping people. So I started to research courses I could take, in the meantime, that would help me get a more situated/stable job while I studied to become a nurse. I found, what I believe is, the perfect opportunity to start our journey and it’s Phlebotomy. Not only can I get hands on experience but I also get to interact with people and get a feel of what life will be like as a nurse, in some sort.

The course is taught through Bunker Hill and the course alone costs 1,919. I haven’t given up on trying to find ways of having some sort of income while I save for this. I have been doing DoorDash as often as possible, which definitely has helped, but it’s not enough to accumulate the whole amount by the course start date, which is April 4, 2022.

In all of this research and exercise, the one thing I keep reminding myself in the back of my mind is, I need to do this for my beautiful little boy right beside me. If I want to give him the best future I can possibly provide, I need to first set God as my foundation and put in the work I need to, in order for my boy to follow the same steps of faith. And this is where my call for help comes in and ask of anyone who can help, that anything helps! It all adds up and I will forever and ever be thankful and grateful for the help I get.

 

With this all being said, I want to give a huge thanks to every single beautiful person who even went as far as reading my brief story. Thank you for your time and support. Thank you for existing in this world and being you. I love you with all my heart. ❤️
