Hi, we are BC-Movies!
We’re a team of four: Cyril, Alec, Brian, and Allegra. We’ve been friends for over 10 years, and what has always connected us is our love for cinema. In our twenties now, we’ve been making projects together for the past few years. This time, we want to make something more personal; something inspired by our own experiences, and one we hope many of you can relate to.
The Story
Our short film The Stache follows two young adults, Bob and Simu, who decide to grow mustaches for a month. For one, it works. For the other… not so much. On the surface, it’s funny and awkward. But underneath, it deals with insecurities we all know too well; feeling behind in life, comparing ourselves to others, and forgetting to appreciate the little things we already have.
It’s about those moments we once thought would change everything, only to look back and realize they barely left a mark. It’s about friendship, grief, growing up, and the quiet feeling of trying to catch up with life.
Our Community
We always try to collaborate with new people, and this time we’re lucky to work with an amazing crew of 9 and a talented cast of 11. Every one of them is bringing their own energy and creativity to this project:

Why We Want to Make This Film
We’ve shared some great and hilarious experiences with our close friends, and we wanted to turn those moments into a story. One of those was a month we all spent trying to grow mustaches. It might sound absurd; but yes, we actually did it. Looking back a year later, it became a strangely memorable time. We learned a lot from it, and we wanted to channel those emotions and lessons into a heartfelt, funny film.
Our hope is that when people watch The Stache, they’ll laugh at the absurdity but also feel the genuine heart behind it.
