The Spark Film

Donation protected

Meet Team Spark! Together we are filming "The Spark", a short film written by Saskia Lynge, for The Louisiana Film Festival (LAFP).

We are raising $3,000 for production and post production costs.

"The Spark" is a sci-fi drama about a daughter's love for her father.

Film Synopsis:

When Katerina is faced with having to let her father die, she discovers a family secret that gives her the power to save him. Will she find the strength to let him pass on, or will she defy the natural order of things to  save herself from another heartbreak?

We need YOUR help to make our film a reality. There are so many moving pieces that go into making a film of any length and each piece costs money. From lodging, to food for the cast and crew, to film equipment, to post production costs, like editing, visual effects, and sound design - all the cool things that make a film pop on screen! Our cast and crew are working for what's called "deferred pay", so every donation given will go directly into the technical aspects of making our film.

Our fundraising deadline is April 1st. By donating, you will be an important part of making this film a reality.

On a personal note (Saskia): Acting, writing, and filmmaking has been my deepest dream since I was a kid. When I had to leave the industry in 2011, I thought I would never get another chance to act again, let alone bring one of my stories to life for a film festival as competitive as the Louisiana Film Festival. But in the past 2 years, I have found a second chance. So when you donate, you're not just donating to our film, you're also helping to bring back to life those dreams I thought were dead forever. There are no words to express the immense amount of gratitude I feel. You'll be helping our entire team create what we hope will be an uplifting story about the power of love and grief.
