The South Africa project- Helfen, statt chillen

Hi, I am Maja (18 years old :)) and I will leave for South Africa at the beginning of August 2025 to dedicate a year of volunteering to an organisation called the Amy Foundation which works with underprivileged kids in so called “town ships” (which are very poor areas) in South Africa, Cape town. But to be able to even go there and live there I need quite a bit of money. And luckily 75% of my founds are covered by the German state but 25% are not. These 25% come out to about 3900€ and I am confident that i can cover a chunk of it but not all of it. And here you come in! You can help me cover those open costs, any amount will help greatly :)

Diesen Freiwilligendienst werde ich in einer Organisation namens Amy Foundation machen, welche mit benachteiligten Kindern und Jugendlichen in Kapstadt arbeitet. Aber um das überhaupt zu realisieren, dass ich dort ein Jahr helfen kann, brauche ich doch einiges an Geld. Und glücklicherweise übernimmt der deutsche Staat 75% der Kosten und ich muss noch 25 % selbst aufbringen. Einiges werde ich davon auch selbst tragen aber ein bisschen Hilfe brauche ich noch.
